WELCOME

Since 1893, The Saint Andrew’s Society of Mexico, has been the crown of the Scottish community in Mexico. It has endured many events in Mexico ranging from  the  flourishing  and closing of mining companies, the Revolutionary War, two great  wars,  the  oil  expropriation  and  others.  This  Scottish  Society  as its sister societies around the globe holds in great level all Scottish traditions, specially loyalty and friendship. We invite all Scots and Scots descendants living within the Mexican territory to become members. People interested in all things Scottish welcome. As a disclosure  statement,  The  Saint  Andrew’s  Society  of  Mexico is a non profitable organization aiming for the union of Scots and Scots descendants living in Mexico as well as sharing our tradition with non Scots interested. It holds no political affiliation and does not exclude any person for religion, race, gender and or sexual orientation.

After  more  than 17  years as member of the society, 7 times committee member,  2  times  Vice-Chieftain  and  1  time  acting  Chief, I  have the enormous honour  to  lead  this  “loyal society”  in  its  116th  year  of  non interrupted activity, bringing Scots and their descendants together far from “home”. Along with my wife Alma and my son Nicky, I welcome you.

Yours ‘aye.

Dr. Claudio G.L. MacGregor, Chieftain 2009-2010
